End of year Wrap Up

WOW what a year it has been, we just want to say a massive thanks to everyone for being so supportive, we are a very lucky bunch of fellas.

It feels like only last week that we played to a full tent at the Tamworth Country Music Festival and won our first Golden Guitar, that kicked the year off great for us, shortly after we started planning for the recording of our second album, which we began the day after our set at CMC Rocks QLD (which was a real buzz, can’t wait to do it again next year!!).

Our luck continued as we had the opportunity to work with Nick Didia as producer on our second album that we recorded in March, in that same month we found out we’d won an APRA award for Country Work Of The Year, that was a real honour. The recording process was a heap of fun and went by like a flash.

Soon after the record, plans started for a trip to Nashville for CMA festival, we were lucky enough to receive a scholarship through the Commercial Radio Association that secured us a performance at The Global Artist Showcase.

We were so overwhelmed with the support we were shown leading up to our trip by some of the most awesome supporters a band could want who rallied around and organized a fundraiser to raise the extra funds needed to send us all to America. We’re a big band so it’s not a cheap thing to do so we are very grateful to everyone involved.

We returned home from Nashville inspired and ready for the remainder of the year where we released ‘The Second Album’ on the 28th of August at the Gympie Muster and then set out on tour to promote the album. We had a great time playing in Queensland, Victoria and NSW, we can’t wait to be back in some of those towns and cities again next year. Along the way we were lucky enough to play Deni Ute Muster, Central Coast Country Music Festival, Sydney Country Music Festival and a heap of other cool shows.

We were also fortunate enough to receive awesome support from a heap of great print media and country Radio Stations and also some commercial rock radio time on Triple M. We are very grateful for the print media and radio support. We are also so grateful to the support we have received from the Country Music Channel, our first single ‘Wheels’, went to number 1 on the CMC chart which was awesome.

We are very excited about 2016, we already have awesome shows to look forward to. Not only are we nominated for a Golden Guitar at the Tamworth Country Music Festival we also have two great two shows at the Albert Hotel on the16th and 22nd of January, then off we go to perform at Boyup Brook Festival in WA (which will be AEBs first time playing in WA), the Snowy Mountains Festival, CMC Rocks QLD, Broadbeach Country Music Festival, Kidgeeridge Festival and more that are yet to be announced.

The Second Album Tour will see us on the road again, we hope to get to everywhere, it will take a little time, but we’re keen to do it so stay tuned for dates and venues.

In September we will be on tour in Europe for the first time. Teenage Head Music has been keen for us to tour for some time and we appreciate them putting this tour together for us.

A big thanks to Fender Australia for your on going support, you make the best electric guitars in the world and they are a pleasure to play. As well, thanks to Maton Guitars, the best acoustic guitar builders in the world, they too are a pleasure to play and it is great to be endorsed by both these brands. We are proud to be able endorse these brands andwe look forward to working more with you both in the future.

A huge thanks to Mike Taylor and Dave Parker and everyone else at Lost Highway Records, thanks for having faith in us ‘long haired’ bunch, we love you dudes.

A big thanks to our booking agents both here and in Europe for helping us get in front of people to share our music, we appreciate the time you put into us.

Thanks to East Coast Trailers for helping us out with the iFor Williams Trailer that safely carries our precious gear behind us.

Thanks to all our families for accepting that we have to be away from the ones we love more then we’d like in order to do what we love to do.

Last but not least thanks a heap to every person who has requested our songs, purchased our albums or came to one of our shows, we love making music for you and look forward to doing it for you next year.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
