What’s Been Going On?

It has been a big few weeks for AEB.  After performing a killer set at CMC Rocks (Ipswich – Queensland) the boys travelled through the night to Byron Bay where they set up shop in Studio 301 to begin recording their 2nd album. This time round the boys have been given the chance to work with the Grammy award winning, Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Kasey Chambers, Powderfinger).  The 1st week of recording was very rewarding, cutting the first 8 songs for the new album.  At the end of the week they flew back to Sydney and drove to Muswellbrook where they played at the Upper Hunter show for 2 nights. They had a blast and got to watch some cracking stunts by the Wizard of Aus- Dave Russell, Wood Chopping and a Smash ’em up Derby.  AEB were on the move early Sunday morning, back to Sydney to catch a flight to Byron Bay to start week two of recording. The boys started tracking again first thing Monday morning cutting another 3 songs for the album. On Tuesday afternoon Adam flew back to Sydney to attend the APRA awards where AEB took out the award for Country Work Of The Year for their song ‘Give Her The World’, a very exciting achievement. Adam returned the next morning to get stuck back into recording for the rest of that week.  The whole recording experience was a massive high for the boys.  Getting to work with one of their favourite producers and also being able to track as a band in 1 room was a real bucket list moment for them all.  After all track was completed they all headed home for some family time over Easter. Some went camping… some turned hippy… some stayed on the couch. The wet weather made it easy to be lazy.  On Easter Monday Adam and his wife Brooke were asked to play at ANZ Stadium at the half time of the Parramatta v Tigers NRL game…they had a great time doing that. Now the focus is on finishing the Vocals on the Album.  Then mixing and mastering.  The lads are very excited about the new songs and can’t wait to share it with you all when its done.  Happy Easter everyone.
